AVL Projekt installed audio system in the cafe Prohibition in Belgrade

Prohibition is a cafe near the Branko's Bridge designed as a pre-club bar. Being situated in the vicinity of several night clubs, its owners decided to create a place for entertainment and “warming up" party before going out to a night club.

  • Client: Cafe Prohibition, Belgrade
  • Date of project: 2016

The modern interior is dominated by bright hues and sharp lines. Some of the most interesting details are chandeliers and tables, reminiscent of the boxes in which alcohol was transferred during the prohibition period, after which the bar was named.

The owners of the café addressed us with a request to upgrade the existing audio system so to enable hosting DJs. The first day of cooperation passed in agreeing on the installation, while the second day was devoted to mounting the complete equipment and tuning the system to work. We used JBL Control One and JRX118S loudspeakers, as well as Crown amplifiers.

The challenge in designing the project occurred when we told the owners that we needed to put a brand new speaker’s installation. The proposed solution thrilled all of us. The designer got an idea to make the wires part of the interior design. Thus, the electrical installation turned into a work of art, at the same time being placed in the agreed position.

We recommend that you visit this café because you will enjoy the good service, very pleasant atmosphere and, of course, great sound.
