CHRISTIE projector for The Cultural Center Čačak

In May 2017 AVL Projekk delivered and put into operation CHRISTIE projector for the cinema hall in The Cultural Center Čačak. The realization of this deal came after the successful participation in the tender announced by the aforementioned cultural center.

  • Client: The Cultural Center Čačak
  • Date of project: 2017

Customer's needs

One of the requirements in the tender was that the projector was mobile because the intention of the customer is to use it for different types of projection. One of the projections would be from the utility room, from a distance of 25 m from the cinema projection screen. Another would be a projection within the theater hall, when the projector would find its place on the very stage.

The delivered solution

For the first type of projection an appropriate lens was supplied and it was selected based on the Christie’s calculator. The selected lens will allow projecting the image onto the screen of size 800cm x 500cm. For the second type of projection an appropriate "short- throw" lens was chosen.

The delivered projector, black Christie DWU951-Q has a brightness of 8500 ANSI lumens which satisfies various requirements for the projection in the room, regarding the screen size and different levels of brightness. An additional advantage is that the projector has the ability to work in "portrait" orientation and at an angle of 360 degrees. Also, the projector has HDBaseT port that lets you connect the projector and video sources via a single cable to a distance of 100m.

Playing content through the projector can be made wirelessly through applications for Android and/or iOS devices.

A significant advantage of the supplied projector is extremely low level of noise produced during the operation, which is important when used in a theater.

Additional customer’s request was to deliver one HDMI splitter extender based on HDBaseT technology in order to easily connect monitors through individual CAT6 network cable.

The delivery and setting to operation of the projector caused no trouble to our team.
