DiGiCo SD11 Console and Waves Server for Aco Pejović

Aco Pejović has been known as a singer whose concerts could always sell one more ticket. He decided for music to be his lifelong profession back in his teenage days, so his first album was released more than two decades ago. Ever since and step by step, he has made hit after hit and bravely climbed the ladder of success on the Serbian stage.

His performances are extremely popular both here and abroad. Not without a reason. Talented musicians on stage, an experienced technical support team, as well as premium quality professional audio equipment – in this way, his every song becomes a superb listening experience.

In order to well prepare for the summer season and to meet the audience's expectations, the singer decided to upgrade the existing audio equipment. As he was already familiar with the great performances of the DiGiCo SD9 mixer, the purchase of the DiGiCo SD11 console was the next logical step towards achieving flawless sound.

The DiGiCo SD11 console is one of the most desirable compact portable mixers featuring Stealth Digital Processing and Super FPGA technology.

With its steel chassis and polycarbonate-overlaid aluminum worksurface enveloping the trademark 15-inch TFT LCD touch screen and 12 touch-sensitive moving faders, the SD11 is the very epitome of strength and agility. The SD11 is compact whilst providing a high channel count: a full 48 input channels at 48kHz or 96kHz. The master section incorporates 12 gangable 32-band graphic EQs, six stereo effects (selectable from a palette of 33), and eight control groups (VCAs). Using snapshots, you can switch between complete configurations in any live environment easier than ever before, be it at rehearsals, during system setup, or even at a show.

Along with the SD11, he also acquired a Waves SoundGrid Extreme server so that he could use plug-ins with the console and thus use all its potential. The Waves server components enable processing of plugins in real time with a computer running SuperRack, the software that controls them.

Aco can use the described system with previously acquired DiGiCo D2 Rack stagebox which works at high sample rate. The device has two MADI ports, which are available as BNC or DiGiCo CAT5E connections that can be found on the SD9 and SD11 consoles. The ports allow rack swapping at 48K between any two SD series consoles.

The DiGiCo and Waves system, with its numerous possibilities, compactness and durability, fully fulfills the needs of singers and allows fine tuning of the sound at concerts for a better and more effective experience.
