Moving Heads for The National Theater in Belgrade

The desire to establish a permanent professional theater in Belgrade dates back to 1842. The plan was realized with the founding of the National Theater in 1868, as well as with staging the first play "Đurađ Branković" by Karolj Obrenjak. During 150 years of existence in three artistic units - drama, opera and ballet, the theater has created many great artists of impressive merits in the culture of national importance.

At the end of last year, we delivered to The National Theater in Belgrade high-quality Chauvet lighting, which we had already wrote about earlier. Recently, by successfully participating in the public procurement, we once again got the honor of contributing to the expansion of the theater lighting park.

Maverick MK3 Wash and Maverick Silens 2 Profile automated lighting fixtures, as well as Ovation E-930VW LED profile fixtures, which met the client's needs with performance and reliability, have now been accompanied by beam automated lighting fixtures.

The Rogue R3 Beam is one of the strongest beams on the market with light intensity of an impressive 208,000 lux at 15 m. This enormous power is made possible by the 300 W Ushio NSL lamp rated at 8,000 hours life. This fully-featured beam can be focused down to 0.8° degrees for extremely focused aerial effects, which become even more striking thanks to the 153 mm front lens. With motorized focus and frost, it is possible to precisely adjust the sharpness of the light beam to obtain sharp, soft or blurry edges depending on the desire and need. The Rogue R3 Beam is equipped with 14 colors wheel and 17 gobos, as well as 8 and 24-facet prisms for an endless supply of creative beam looks.

The light weight of 15.6 kg makes it easy to assemble and disassemble.

In addition to moving heads, the theater also purchased Wireless Solution (WDMX) transmitters and receivers of DMX signals in order to facilitate control and send the signal from the director’s room to the new lighting fixtures. The new Wireless Solution BlackBox G6 series was designed exactly for this purpose.

The versatility of the Chauvet Professional lighting park with automated wash, beam and profile fixtures, as well as with fixed profile devices is what makes it one of the most modern in the region. The implemented solution provides the lighting designer with numerous possibilities in creation of art work, makes it easier for directors to convey authentic messages, while giving the audience an extraordinary artistic experience.
