Engaged in both local and international projects, Avala Studios has been continuously investing in advanced studio technology. With a portfolio that includes rights to 220 feature films, 430 documentaries, and 120 co-productions, the studio recognized the necessity of installing a cinema system within its Košutnjak studio. This system serves the dual purpose of screening their cinematic works and facilitating diverse presentations.
The centrepiece of the system is a Christie 4K10-HS digital laser projector, boasting 4K resolution and an impressive brightness of 10,000 ANSI lumens. Coupled with DLP technology and high contrast, it delivers razor-sharp images rich in detail on a sizeable 732x441 cm (16:9 ratio) fixed projection screen with a frame.
Complementing the visual setup, the package includes a video mixer and a camcorder for event recording, catering to content distribution requirements.
The auditory experience is equally impressive, featuring a suite of d&b audiotechnik components: 24C passive loudspeakers, 8S 2-way coaxial speakers, an 18S-SUB subwoofer, and a 4-channel 10D DSP amplifier. The audio system is capable of supporting cinema screenings or presentations in a variety of formats, including the immersive Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
To ensure clarity and quality for speeches and panel discussions, the system includes Audix wireless microphones complemented by DPA earset and headset mics.
Additionally, Radial Engineering USB PRO and TWIN-ISO units were provided to facilitate the connection of external peripherals and computers while protecting against, and eliminating, interference and buzz in the AV setup.
Upon completing the installation and operational launch of the system, the technical expertise of AVL Projekt was extended to train Avala Studios' technical personnel, enabling them to adeptly manage the new cinema and presentation system.
