Modern AV and Lighting Solutions: Transforming the Cultural Experience

Contemporary audio, video, and stage lighting technologies have become indispensable to cultural institutions, allowing audiences to experience artistic programs at the highest professional level. Beyond creating an immersive atmosphere, this equipment ensures that diverse performances are delivered with both aesthetic impact and technical excellence.

  • Client: “Kultura” Cultural Center, Bajina Bašta
  • Date of project: 2025

Recognizing the significance of such advancements, the “Kultura” Cultural Center in Bajina Bašta has invested in a comprehensive upgrade encompassing audio and video systems, stage lighting, and stage mechanics. The project was strategically planned and implemented in multiple phases to ensure optimal results.

Phase One focused on the integration of a d&b audiotechnik sound system, featuring point source loudspeakers designed to provide accurate and uniform coverage throughout the venue. With its broad dispersion pattern, the central point source unit ensures exceptional sound clarity, particularly in the front rows. The system is further enhanced by d&b audiotechnik subwoofers equipped with 18-inch drivers, delivering powerful low-frequency response that enriches the overall audio experience.

The audio setup also includes a digital mixing console for precise sound management, alongside professional microphones and DI boxes that streamline stage operations and ensure signal integrity.

A cinema surround sound system was also installed as part of this phase, with full cinema functionality to be completed in the near future.

Phase Two introduced a modern lighting console and LED Spotlight PC fixtures for front lighting. These fixtures, known for their precisely focused beams, are critical in theatrical environments. With warm white light, a CRI above 95, and high-performance optics, they offer extensive creative control and contribute significantly to the visual impact of performances.

Additionally, a wireless microphone system was added, expanding the center’s audio capabilities and supporting professional-grade productions.

Phase Three encompassed the implementation of a video presentation system, which includes a projection screen and a Panasonic laser projector offering 5,200 lumens of brightness for crisp, high-contrast visuals.

To support safe and precise operation of the truss-mounted screen, an electric motorized hoist system was installed, powered by an EXE Technology D8+ motor. These motors are equipped with built-in limit switches and are specifically designed for lifting and securing stage elements with maximum control and reliability.

With this extensive upgrade, the “Kultura” Cultural Center has significantly enhanced its technical infrastructure, elevated the quality of its performances, and laid a solid foundation for the ongoing growth and diversification of cultural programming in the local community.
