With this in mind, the Communications Regulatory Agency (CRA) of Sarajevo – the authority responsible for electronic communications and the audiovisual sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina – has modernized its conference room with a state-of-the-art audio-visual system. The upgrade not only streamlines internal communication and accelerates decision-making but also enhances collaboration and dialogue with partners and stakeholders across the region.
Audio Conference System
At the heart of the installation is the Televic Confidea Flex G4 wireless conference system. Each participant is provided with a tabletop unit equipped with a 50 cm flexible gooseneck microphone, resistant to GSM interference. Units can operate in chairman or delegate mode and offer advanced features including electronic voting, interpretation channel selection, and identification via integrated card readers. The interactive touch screen displays key meeting details such as voting topics, speaker names, battery status, and other essential information.
The system is supported by the Televic Confidea WAP G4 Dante access point, which operates on the Dante protocol and includes intelligent RF spectrum optimization tools. Integrated software provides full system access and configuration, while the access point itself supports recording directly to internal or external storage.
Video Display and Presentation
Visual content is delivered on a wall-mounted Unilumin UTV UC-135 LED screen measuring 302 x 182 cm. This Android all-in-one solution offers Full HD resolution and advanced COB LED technology for exceptional clarity and performance. With a fine pixel pitch of 1.56 mm, brightness of 600 cd/m², and a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, the display ensures sharp, vibrant images even in brightly lit environments. Its standard 16:9 format, built-in blue light protection, and lifespan of over 100,000 hours guarantee reliable, long-term use.
A 3x1 automatic collaboration and presentation switcher serves as the system’s core, supporting USB-C, DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB-B inputs, with HDMI output at up to 4K/60Hz and data transfer rates of 18 Gbps. This ensures seamless integration of diverse sources, including USB cameras, and supports effortless streaming via Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Zoom.
For video conferencing, a PTZ camera provides preset position storage with remote recall. Additional connectivity is ensured through three USB-C/HDMI input panels paired with HDBaseT HDMI receivers for stable, high-quality transmission.
Audio System and Processing
Audio processing is managed by a digital matrix DSP with six mic/line inputs, four-line outputs, and six echo cancellation channels. The setup includes wireless microphones: an Audix AP61 OM5 handheld system and an Audix AP61 BP with HT2 headset for presenters.
To enhance speech intelligibility, the room features Sony MAS-A100 beamforming ceiling microphones with automatic tracking, echo cancellation, and ambient noise reduction (filtering sounds such as HVAC, projectors, or typing). The system also auto-adjusts speaker levels for consistent clarity.
Sound reinforcement is provided by wall-mounted column speakers with adjustable pan/tilt brackets, specifically designed for acoustically challenging environments.
Control and Infrastructure
System management is handled via a dedicated AV processor with LAN ports for secure device control and protection against external interference. All equipment is centralized in a 19-inch rack cabinet. Network traffic is managed by a Luminex Gigacore 60 1G2P PoE+ switch, offering 24 RJ45 ports and full AV protocol support.
Special attention has been devoted to infrastructure reliability: halogen-free cabling has been installed in protected conduits to ensure maximum resistance to RF interference and electrical disturbances.
Training and Handover
Following installation and commissioning, CRA’s technical staff received comprehensive theoretical and hands-on training, ensuring proficient operation and maintenance of the new system.
