Driven by the highest standards of modern production, the rental company DK Light has invested in the latest generation of premium lighting equipment from world-renowned manufacturers.
grandMA3 full-size – precision control for high-end productions
Part of the new equipment lineup is the grandMA3 full-size lighting console from MA Lighting. It features 20,480 control parameters, expandable up to 250,000 through additional processing units, providing unparalleled scalability for complex productions. The advanced playback section, including a dedicated master playback, allows fast and precise control of essential functions. With 120 additional playbacks and 16 assignable X-keys, the grandMA3 full-size is the most flexible console in the history of MA systems, making it an indispensable tool for high-end, complex lighting designs. Motorized faders with RGB indicators enhance precision and visual clarity, while all control elements are ergonomically positioned for quick and intuitive access.
High-quality multi-touch screens provide immediate access to all functions, while full interface customization streamlines workflow and maximizes operational efficiency. The command section, equipped with dual encoders and fully configurable feature mapping, allows rapid, intuitive programming and precise control over complex lighting setups.
The grandMA3 full-size lighting console sets the industry benchmark for managing complex lighting systems at large-scale events. Offering exceptional performance, flexibility, and operational stability, it is an indispensable tool for staging concerts featuring the world’s biggest music stars.
grandMA3 onPC Command Wing – a compact solution for smaller stages
To adapt the system for smaller projects and streamline event pre-production in visualization software, DK Light has also acquired the grandMA3 onPC command wing. This compact unit delivers full MA system functionality in a portable format, making it an excellent tool for rehearsals, smaller stages, or as a backup control unit within larger productions.
Featuring the same user interface as other grandMA3 consoles, it allows users to transition seamlessly to any other grandMA3 control unit. The operator has full access to all inputs and outputs, including DMX, MIDI, Ethernet, Timecode, and Remote Control, as well as four independent monitor outputs. With 10 motorized faders, 40 physical playbacks, 16 assigned X-keys, and a dedicated master section, this console provides extensive capabilities for intuitive and precise playback.
Luminex LumiNode 12 – intelligent lighting signal distribution
Reliable network infrastructure is critical for any production. To ensure seamless communication between FoH and stage, DK Light relies on Luminex GigaCore 20T switches, purpose-built for touring and demanding live environments.
These switches handle lighting protocols like Art-Net and sACN, while also enabling integrated control of audio and video systems, including amplifiers, wireless audio, and NDI video distribution, over a single, stable network. VLAN support ensures maximum reliability, flexibility, and efficiency for complex productions.
For added stability and operational protection, the system is equipped with optical reels featuring Neutrik FiberFox connectors. These rugged connectors, manufactured to MIL-DTL-83526 military standards and rated IP68, ensure reliable performance in all conditions, provide resistance to dust and moisture, and allow easy maintenance thanks to an innovative lens system between the connectors.
A key component of the lighting signal distribution system is the high-performance Luminex LumiNode 12 node, offering 12 DMX outputs and 16 processing units, enabling stable, flexible, and fully adaptable operation.
In addition to standard functions for converting ArtNet, sACN, and KiNET signals to DMX, this node offers multiple operational modes – HTP, LTP, Backup, Switch, and X-Fade. It can convert signals (e.g., ArtNet to sACN) and forward them through the network. An additional feature of the device is on-board scene storage, allowing it to output specific DMX values even when the lighting console is inactive. The node also supports redundant DMX signal formation within a single lighting line: the signal from the last fixture is fed back into the system. DMX travels from both directions along the line, ensuring that fixtures never lose signal, providing maximum reliability in demanding production environments.
Commitment to Innovation and Professional Standards
Through these investments, DK Light reaffirms its dedication to quality, innovation, and professional standards in stage lighting, fully prepared to meet the highest demands of modern event production.
