The Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU), the highest scientific and artistic institution in the Republic of Serbia with a tradition spanning nearly two centuries, continuously contributes to the advancement of science, art, and society. This mission requires ongoing technological upgrades and the implementation of modern AV and IP-based infrastructure.
To support advanced lecture capture, event streaming, and institutional presentation needs, SANU halls were equipped with a professional IP-based video streaming system designed for high reliability, scalability, and broadcast-quality performance.
Professional Panasonic PTZ Camera System for Lecture Capture and Live Streaming
The implemented solution is based on Panasonic Ultra Quiet PTZ cameras with 4K/30p resolution, selected for professional lecture capture, conference recording, and live streaming applications. With 24x optical zoom, the system provides full venue coverage—from wide auditorium shots to precise close-ups of speakers—ensuring consistent, broadcast-quality video output.
For stable and interference-resistant signal transmission, S/FTP Cat6 cabling was deployed, ensuring reliable performance in environments with potential electromagnetic interference.
The system supports NDI HX technology and integrated auto-tracking functionality within the standard software environment, enabling automated camera operation and optimized workflow efficiency in professional AV production setups.
Network distribution and power delivery are handled via Luminex Gigacore 10T-POE++ AV switches, ensuring stable operation, low latency, and uninterrupted performance for continuous live streaming workflows.
Camera control is managed via an IP-based joystick controller with an integrated display, while streaming and recording are handled through a dedicated server, with direct live streaming to the official YouTube channel.
Following installation, the system was fully commissioned, and SANU technical staff received hands-on training, ensuring independent operation and long-term sustainability of the AV infrastructure.
