Jan Audio is a rental company specializing in audio and video production services. By combining modern equipment, an experienced team and an innovative approach, the company successfully delivers a wide range of events.

As part of its ongoing investment in expanding its technical capabilities, the company has recently added modern lighting and AV networking equipment to its inventory.

Investing in Modern Lighting Solutions

The Chauvet Rogue R3 Beam is one of the most powerful beam fixtures on the market, delivering an impressive 208,000 lux at 15 m. This high level of output is achieved with a 300 W Ushio NSL lamp, offering a rated life of up to 8,000 hours and ensuring long-lasting, reliable performance for demanding event productions.

Its narrow 0.8° beam angle, combined with a 153 mm front lens, creates striking aerial effects that stand out on stage. Motorized focus and frost allow precise shaping of the beam while providing maximum creative flexibility for different lighting designs. The fixture features a 14-colour wheel and 17 gobos, along with two prisms that split the beam into 8 or 24 facets. Weighing approximately 15 kg, the fixture is lightweight and easy to install and remove.

The Maverick Storm 1 Hybrid is a versatile Beam/Spot/Wash fixture, combining a 420 W Osram HRI light source with a high-performance optical system. Its IP65-rated construction ensures reliable operation and consistent visual performance in demanding outdoor environments, making it well suited to events where robust performance and high-quality lighting are essential.

It offers extensive creative flexibility, with nine rotating gobos, 17 static gobos, an animation wheel, a motorized frost effect and two independent rotating prisms, with five- and eight-facet options. The advanced CMY color-mixing system produces rich, vibrant colors, while the motorized zoom provides precise control over the beam and allows the fixture to adapt easily to different lighting designs. The fixture supports DMX, Art-Net, sACN, RDM and W-DMX, while a fail-safe Ethernet connection provides reliable and stable control. An intuitive OLED interface and USB-C port for software updates further simplify operation for lighting designers.

Seamless AV Network Configuration Without IT Expertise

Luminex GigaCore 18T network switches were also supplied to connect the systems between the control room and Front of House (FoH). Designed for professional AV applications, they allow multiple systems to operate on the same network. The AV network can be configured easily without specialized IT knowledge, thanks to pre-configured VLAN groups and support for standard AV protocols. The switches support simultaneous transmission of Art-Net, sACN, Dante™, NDI, RAVENNA/AES67, Q-LAN and PTPv2, providing stable and reliable signal distribution. Their robust metal housing and EtherCON connectors ensure dependable operation in touring environments, while PoE+ support reduces the need for additional cabling.

Chauvet and Luminex: A Winning Combination for Experienced Rental Teams

Combining high-end lighting fixtures with advanced AV networking infrastructure enables exceptionally creative event production while providing a high level of flexibility and reliability. The performance of the lighting system, combined with stable signal distribution, ensures maximum control and consistent production quality across everything from small-scale events to large festivals.
