Implemented solution
The supplied accessories include Sommer Cable multicore audio cables, type Matrix and Mistral, patch cord Isopod, Neutrik cable and built-in 3-pin XLR connectors, XLR, RCA/cinch connectors and stereo TRS 3.5 mm and 6.35 mm connectors.
SommerCable multicore audio cables are characterized by good quality and affordable price. One of the requirements was that the multicore balanced audio cables could be used to transmit digital signals (AES/EBU, 110Ω), which they could. This included 4- and 8-pair cables, model Mistral, as well as 8-pair model Matrix.
Mistral MCF balanced cable has PVC insulation around the wire pairs 2x0,22 mm2, which is a common thing with the studio multicore cables. The numeric and color markings on them are wear proof. The entire cable is also shrouded in Al/Pt foil, which makes it one hundred percent protected from the influence of electromagnetic interference. For extra protection against corrosion and oxidation, conductive wires and weight are additionally tinned.
Mistral MCF is very easy to install and wind and it is recommended for work with multicore adapters. There are options with 2-4-8-12-16-20-24-32 and 40 pairs. It's great for mobile solutions, installation in studios and in fixed installations.
Matrix MMC cable is of similar construction as the Mistral MCF, but as an addition has a protective sheath made of copper wire around the entire cable, which makes it additionally protected from the influence of electromagnetic interference. Due to the larger wire diameter (2x0,25mm2), it is suitable for long audio lines of over 100 m. There are options with 2-3-4-6-8-12 and 16 pairs.
This cable is FRNC (halogen free + flame retard) which means it is fire resistant and that it is, therefore, mainly used in public facilities such as schools, theaters and clubs. It is suitable for installation in the ground, as well as for connecting audio systems to radio stations.
In addition to cables, Neutrik cable and built-in 3-pin XLR connectors were delivered, as well as the required Neutrik RCA/cinch connectors and TRS stereo 3.5 mm or 6.35 mm connectors.
To connect the equipment in the studio VGA 15-pin cables, HDMI cables of various lengths and DSUB 9, 15, 25, 37, and 62-pin connectors were provided. To connect devices to remote locations DVI extenders were delivered for the transmission of signals through a network of channels.
