Audio-video presentation system for the auditorium of the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Serbia

In May 2014, AVL Projekt delivered and installed the audio/video/presentation system for the auditorium of the Russian Embassy in Belgrade

  • Client: The Embassy of Russian Federation in Belgrade
  • Date of project: 2014

Identified Needs

Our client wanted to have installed the audio-video-presentation system which would be multifunctional but, at the same time, easy to use. This was so due to their intention to use the system on different occassions: holding various ceremonies, marking the national holidays, for presenting the video content, reproducing a comprehensive public addressing of an audience by the ambassador, reproducing the national anthem, or support the performance of the folk ensemble.

Implemented Solution

Regarding the audio system, our team of engineers recommended and installed JBL Line Array loudspeakers based on CBT technology (Constant Beamwidth Technology™). The loudspeakers are connected to the Crown CDi installation amplifiers. For sound processing and microphonia supression, DBX processors with filters based on AFS™ (Advanced Feedback Suppression) technology were used.

4 wireless microphones are connected to AKG automatic mixer, while extra sources of the sound can be added (laptop, smartphone, tablet or similar).

The video system is based on the Christie projectors. They project an image on the motorized projection screens Projecta.  Kramer units are in charge of receiving the video signal via HDMI interface, as well as of sending it to the projector via Cat7 network cable, adequate splitters and TP (twisted pair) receiver.

The most significant value of the whole system is its simple use. The system is started by switching the main switch in the rack cabinet. After this is done, you can address the audience by simply switching on the wireless microphones, or you can activate the projectors and the projecting screens by using the remote control. Then, it is enough to connect a laptop or any other source of video signal to it via HDMI cable and you can start reproducing the video content.
