Stage machinery in theaters includes mechanical devices for production of stage effects, such as a rapid change of scene, light and sound, or the creation of various supernatural and magical illusions. It can be divided into two general categories: lower stage machinery and upper stage machinery, which are then joined by various automated mechanical assemblies. Parts of these machineries may be main stage elevator, other elevators and lifts, stage curtain, curtain storage lifts, hoists and many others.
